D. Ann Williams (she/her) is a Black American writer, editor, and diversity consultant. She loves to read and edit romance, kidlit (picture books, MG, and YA), thrillers, and science fiction/fantasy.
Her editing career started in undergrad as the editor-in-chief of two academic journals. Since then, she has edited non-fiction, business writing, and academic (dissertations) before expanding into fiction editing with Tessera Editorial.
D. Ann provides developmental editing, copyediting, and sensitivity reads for Black American culture, LGBTQ+ representation (specifically asexual, bisexual, and wlw), and depression.
She holds a BA in History and a BA in African-American Studies from UCLA.
